European XFEL is an international non-profit company located in the Hamburg area in Germany. It operates a 3.4 km-long X-ray laser, which produces X-rays of unique quality for studies in physics, chemistry, the life sciences, materials research and other disciplines. The diverse scientific facilities at European XFEL enable scientists from across the globe to carry out a wide range of experimental techniques.
For our Procurement group we are looking for an
Junior Procurement Officer (f/m/d)
- Purchasing of goods and services in accordance with public procurement law, (UVgO)
- Placing of purchase orders below EU threshold
- Evaluation of offers and price negotiations
- Assisting and supporting the Procurement Officers and Head of Procurement with administrative tasks
- Creating and verification of new suppliers
- Invoice/order confirmation processing invoice processing
- Clarify invoice differences
- Other purchasing relevant duties as assigned
- Completed university degree preferably in business administration or a comparable field of study
- Education and/or training in commercial disciplines (business administration or similar) is an asset
- First purchasing experience
- Knowledge of public procurement procedures and laws
- Preferably experience in foreign trade and custom matters
- Preferably knowledge of ERP Systems and use of electronic procurement platforms
- Fluent in German and English (reading and writing)
