We develop #HeyMercedes from the development headquarters in Sindelfingen together with our hubs in Silicon Valley, Berlin and Beijing. In doing so, we design probably the most direct, emotional interface between our customers and the Mercedes-Benz brand. In the team Speech Interaction Design we shape the personality and create conversations for the MBUX voice assistant. We bring to live the best-in-class UI/UX for automotive voice assistants by developing Dialogs and NLU in our speech development-platform. As a member of the team, you will work with exceptional UI/UX designers, linguists, data scientists and software developers to design, implement, test, launch, document, … speech UI/UX around #HeyMercedes.
Your tasks in detail:
As part of our team, you will contribute to the design and development of voice assistant interactions, with an emphasis on user research. This position allows you to leverage your expertise in user research, aligning with your personal interests, and offers the opportunity to acquire comprehensive insights into the multifaceted field of speech interaction design.
- Take part in the development of the MBUX Voice Assistant with a focus on design, concept validation and implementation of speech dialogs and voice outputs
- Support the design, conduction, evaluation and visual presentation of user studies with internal and external subjects
- Take part in the validation of the concepts, as well as of the developed system, as part of studies and acceptance tests
- Studies in Computer Science, UX Design, Media Informatics, Computer Linguistics, Psychology or comparable qualifications
- Very good communication skills and proficiency in English and German
- Analytical skills as well as structured and targeted working mode
- Interested in the development of voice assistants or human-machine interfaces, with a strong emphasis on customer-centric design
- Team capability
