Munich Re's Global Marketing Communications team is responsible for strategy, planning and execution of marketing and communication programs for all lines of business, incl. Property & Casualty (P&C), Facultative & Corporates (F&C), Life & Health (L&H).
To complement our global marketing team, we are looking for an analytical, service and people-oriented Marketing Business Partner. The candidate will serve as Marketing Advisor supporting Client Management, Origination and Experts in Munich Re's Asia Pacific and Global L&H business.
Based in Munich, this role is an integral part of the Global Life & Health and the Asia Pacific Marketing Communication teams.

You will provide marketing support across all areas of sales and corporate marketing incl. client engagement activities, lead generation measures and thought leadership. You will contribute to global marketing campaigns and initiatives to streamline our marketing approach for fast-evolving digital solutions across global LH.
The role aims to drive business results and support growth ambitions by uniquely positioning Munich Re's Life & Health propositions with clients and other stakeholders building brand awareness and business value.
You will report to the Global Head of Life & Health Marketing Communications based in Munich and the Regional Head of Marketing Communications, Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa based in Singapore.


  • Assume responsibility for planning, execution, and budgeting of marketing and communication programs and measures
  • Contribute to annual marketing plans and budget planning in close collaboration with the business units to support sales objectives and market positioning
  • Work closely with Client Management, Origination and Managing Experts to develop and deliver marketing programs and ensure agile execution
  • Utilize market data and digital analytics (e.g. LinkedIn, website performance) in every aspect of your work to drive marketing effectiveness and efficiency
  • Derive sales and marketing KPIs to measure return on investment and deliver marketing activities on target
  • Liaise and partner with key business stakeholders from Client Management, Origination, Underwriting, Product Development to understand market and client needs as well as identify unique marketing opportunities
  • Engage and collaborate with global colleagues across our Global Communication functions as well as third-party vendors to execute marketing and communication deliverables
  • Operate as an in-house marketing consultant to the business units by providing services with regards to competitor analysis, market research, client insights, client journey assessment, value proposition design, go-to-market strategies, product launches, etc.
  • Innovate and inspire new ways of client engagement activities in a hybrid and high-value driven sales environment
  • Identify relevant topics, trends and best practices and create engaging storylines and contents for different client channels and formats

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Marketing, Business Development, Sales Management and/or Management Consulting
  • Advanced degree in marketing or business required or MBA
  • Proficiency in executing marketing strategies, campaigns and product launch strategies with the goal of acquiring new clients, increasing marketing return on invest, and raising brand awareness
  • High degree of consulting capabilities with excellent analytical and conceptual skills as well as strong digital expertise
  • Knowledge of CRM systems, marketing analytics and project management tools
  • Experienced in briefing and managing of internal functions, agencies and vendors
  • A strong marketer with a distinct service provider mentality and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple responsibilities and demanding clients
  • Interest in acquiring a deep understanding of insurance-, investment- and tech-related business models; ideally with a background in insurance, asset management or professional services
  • Presentation and moderation capabilities; proficiency in creating power point presentations for client pitches and management proposals
  • Self-confident, resilient and enduring ambiguity to a business-centred service and consulting approach
  • Stakeholder relationship management skills, combined with the passion to deliver exceptional marketing consulting results
  • Outstanding networking skills, an inclusive personality that excels at bringing diverse groups of stakeholders together to advise business units and bring them to the next level of marketing communications
  • Excellent language proficiency in English and German, English will be the main operating language
