In the Corporate Human Resources unit, we are responsible for steering HR activities within the BASF Group. By developing focused personnel policies, we implement the company's strategy on employee-related matters. Additionally, we design instruments for the development and retention of Senior Executives, provide operational support in personnel matters, and are responsible for their strategic succession planning.


We are responsible for designing and managing employee compensation and benefits packages to attract and retain talent, comply with regulations, and align with the company's long-term strategic goals.

  • As part of your role, you will be responsible for driving the design and implementation of comprehensive compensation and benefits programs for our Senior Executives and the Board of Executive directors. This also includes managing the annual performance management process for Senior Executives and company cars.
  • In addition, you will serve as the subject-matter expert for the compensation and benefits portfolio for Senior Executives, HR Business Partners, and other colleagues.
  • It will be your responsibility to conduct benchmarking and market studies to ensure competitive and aligned compensation systems with industry standards worldwide.
  • You support the preparation of the annual compensation report and the annual general meeting.
  • Collaborating closely with colleagues in our financial, legal, and HR departments internally, while managing relations to external parties such as vendors and consultants, is crucial for success in this role.
  • Among your ongoing responsibilities, you will need to stay up to date on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to executive compensation and benefits.

  • university degree
  • more than 3 years of experience in Compensation & Benefits (preferably with a focus on executive and board of executive directors compensation)
  • experience in executive compensation practices, regulations, market trends, benchmarking studies, and preparation of annual compensation reports are an asset
  • team orientated way of working and joy for collaborating in an inclusive and trusting work environment
  • analytical mindset and ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • very good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint

This role can be performed on a full-time or part-time basis.
