Our Graphite Business Unit produces and distributes high performance graphite electrodes worldwide. Business Data Analyst (m/f/d)

Your role:
The Business Data Analyst (m/f/d) we need must collect, organize and interpret data, turning it into information which can offer ways to improve our business, thus affecting business decisions. In this role you gather information from various sources and interpret patterns and trends. You will work closely with other teams in our organization such as Marketing, Finance and Operations.
- Collect data from various sources, including internal databases, customer feedback, market research, or publicly available data
- Ensure the data is formatted and cleaned properly, removing any inaccuracies or irrelevant information. This can involve handling large datasets and using data cleaning methods to ensure accuracy
- Using statistical tools and techniques, interpret the data to identify trends, patterns, and relationships within the data. This can involve statistical analysis, forecasting, and using predictive modeling techniques
- Create visual representations of data, such as charts, graphs, and dashboards, to make the data comprehensible
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders based on the findings. This might involve suggesting ways to improve processes, enhance performance, increase efficiency, or reduce costs
- Assist with developing and maintaining dashboards to track KPIs and other project related data
- Successfully completed Bachelor's degree or higher (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Data Science or any other related field)
- English Advanced level (equivalent to C1 or C2), other languages advantageous (German, Spanish, Japanese)
- Experience in working in a global organization and in cross-functional teams
- Experience leading various projects to achieve KPI's, including relationship building with customers, procurement of raw materials, logistics, production, and sales
- Strong knowledge in process and project management (QM background, Six Sigma training, etc.)
- Strong understanding of various functions including sales, marketing, controlling, SCM, procurement, technology, and production in the graphite electrode industry
- Experience in data models and reporting packages
- Proficient with specific tools and software like SQL for database management, Excel for spreadsheets, and more advanced tools like Python, R, or Minitab for statistical analysis, as well as data visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI
- Ability to analyze large datasets and write comprehensive reports
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical mind with focus on problem-solving
- Attention to details and sense for urgency
- Strong end-to-end understanding is required
