The successful candidate will join the EMEA & APAC Media & Analytics Solutions Delivery team whose core objective is to support primarily FMCG (occasionally General Merchandise) manufacturer and retailers with their growth plans by analysing the impact of their in-store sales and marketing activity and identifying opportunities to improve performance. Recommendations are made on our client's assortment, media, price and promotional strategies. This is achieved via insightful machine analytics based on EPOS data.
As a Media&Analytics Marketing Specialist you will work with a team of consultants in German as well as across EMEA Solutions Delivery team to support contracted and ad hoc services to Circana's Media&Analytics clients. Your role will be to contribute in the delivery of Media&Analytics projects from sign off through the delivery of insights, with the guidenace of our experience consults with opportunity to work with our clients.
The analytics consultant role is a great opportunity for someone looking to take their first career step into the direction of automated analytics within an insight-based consultancy department.
Job Responsibilities
- Make rational and logical decisions based on data trends and machine learning based results
- Translating clients' business questions into project objectives, project deliverables and statistical model parameters to share with our data scientists
- Quality checking machine learning based outputs and providing feedback to the data scientists
- Provide an effective liaison between local team members and data scientists teams (located in Athens Greece) to facilitate the delivery process
- Supporting the solutions consultants in the preparation of client presentations and reports via data analysis of statistical model outputs
- Attending client meetings and supporting the solutions consultant during the delivery of the insights
- Follow existing processes and methods and propose improvements
- Previous relevant experience (potentially gained through placement year) and preferably with data analysis or data management background
- Interest in or understanding of marketing strategy, and/or FMCG business/market trends
- Applicants do not need to have a statistical background to apply, but must have strong analytical skills with an aptitude for accurately managing and interpreting data and proficient in MS Office and preferably experience of working with IRI Market Advantage or similar big-data platforms
- Ability to demonstrate a concern for quality and accuracy in all areas of work
- Self-motivated, accountable and committed with good decision making and project management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects and stakeholders
