We are looking for a Finance Manager - Europe, to lead our European finance operations, working closely with the rest of our global finance team to support delivery of our strategic growth plan.


The Finance Manager - Europe is responsible to oversee the financial activities of the regions entities (Germany and France), ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the regional accounting operation in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedure to ensure the timely provision of financial information, to both internal and external parties and to safeguard the business and its assets. Providing clear and concise financial information to support decision making within region.

Your responsibilities

  • Financial Accounting – You are responsible for regional financial accounting ensuring adherence to accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and Group policies. Responsible for the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Group Reporting – You are responsible for the regional month end close process, providing accurate financial statements to the Group Finance team in accordance with the Group reporting timetable. Prepare flux analysis to explain actual performance versus comparatives. Expected to work closely with other global teams, including provision of weekly cash flow forecasts.
  • Regional Compliance – You are responsible for ensuring regional compliance with Group financial controls, processes, and procedures. Support the Group Financial Controller with localisation and implementation of new or amended financial or other related policies and initiatives. Responsible for compliance with regional regulatory requirements and finance-based submissions ensure complete, accurate and timely data is provided.
  • Audit (Internal and External) – You will support Group external and internal audits. Being the key audit contact for local regulatory/statutory audits and being responsible for the preparation of the audit pack and supporting documents to ensure reporting requirements are met.
  • Tax compliance – You ensure local tax compliance, supported by local external tax advisors (as necessary). Work closely with the Group Tax Manager to set and implement global transfer pricing policies.
  • Team Management – You manage and develop direct reports within the regional finance team. You will mentor the team to enable them to reach their full potential.
  • Credit Management – You are responsible for the credit management of regional customers to ensure timely collection of receivables whilst managing the balance between credit risk and being a customer focused team supporting the growth of the business.
  • Forecasting / Budgeting – You prepare budgets and forecasts for relevant regional cost centres, ensure consistency, reasonableness and adherence to the Group defined processes and timetable.
  • Decision Support – You are responsible for the provision of financial information to support regionally focused business decisions. You are expected to work closely with country leaders to support initiatives with financial input and advice where required.
  • Office Management – Ad hoc duties as expected for a senior member of the Regional Office team, including management of the office administrator.
  • Business Finance – Opportunity to partner one of the Group's Strategic Business Units (SBU) or functions, contributing towards the development of the strategy, budgets, and reforecasts, and providing financial analysis and support to the leadership team.

  • You hold a qualified degree as an accountant as this is essential to fulfil the role.
  • You have knowledge of local accounting and tax legislation.
  • You are fluent in English and German (written and verbal).
  • Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards would be an ideal fit, but they are not essential.
  • If you have management experience, this is advantageous, but we will also give you the opportunity to take on this role for the first time.
  • You need working knowledge of MS tools and finance ERP systems.
  • You already have gained experience of working cross functionality within a global organisation.

  • The base salary range for this position is between 75.000 EUR - 85.000 EUR, depending on your experience.
