The Mercedes-Benz Cars Communications & Marketing unit (MS/C) is responsible for the global conception, implementation and steering of all communication activities and advertising strategies of Mercedes-Benz Cars. We creatively steer our luxury brands across all customer touchpoints and efficiently optimize communication for our customers by means of data-driven and measurable activities. We do all that with the clear goal of creating and deepening our customers' enthusiasm and desire for the brand.

As part of the Digital Innovation & Data Factory team, you will be able to immerse yourself in a wide variety of data projects along the entire customer journey and have the chance to actively drive them forward. You will be part of the first central Data Factory in the Marketing & Communication unit. Agile working methods in a cross-functional team set-up offer the perfect working environment to drive the development of analytical products and use cases. In doing so, we pursue a clear vision: We unleash Data Intelligence to become the smartest MarCom Division in the industry that ensures unbreakable brand loyalty.

Your tasks include:

  • End-To-End Product Lifecycle Management: Participate and support in the implementation of (Gen)AI projects in communication & marketing Mercedes-Benz Cars from ideation to operationalization.
  • AI-Driven Content Creation: Collaborate with the team to develop and implement various AI applications such as image and copy creation for social media posts or press information generation (Generative AI & NLP).
  • Learn & Teach: Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI research and technology and contribute insights to the team. Conduct experiments and evaluate the performance of traditional ML and Generative AI models to solve real-world problems.
  • Collaborative Projects: Participate in discussion, brainstorming sessions and knowledge sharing activities within the team and work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, data science, and IT to integrate AI solutions into existing platforms and processes, ensuring alignment with business goals.

Professional qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in studies of computer science, data science, mathematics or comparable fields with mathematical, statistical or econometric components
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, ideally in combination with the use of cloud solutions such as MS Azure or AWS
  • Solid understanding - and ideally hands-on experience in - machine learning algorithms, natural language processing, neural networks, and deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)
  • Previous experience or coursework in AI applications for marketing or customer analytics is a plus (e.g. in the automotive industry, management consulting, media agency, software or start-up industry)
  • Knowledge and experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) is a plus
  • Knowledge or experience in marketing & communication is a plus
  • Business fluent English language skills are a must (English as main communication language in team), German is a plus
