About the Role: We are looking for a Financial Accountant (f/m/d) to join our Financial Shared Services Center. In this role, you will be part of our international Accounting Team responsible for our Polish legal entity together with other accounting tasks.

The position will be located at one of our facilities in EMEA with work from home days possible as part of a hybrid arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.

Financial Accountant (f/m/d)


  • Prepare and process journal entries (revenue recognition, accruals/reserves, payroll, pension, taxes etc.)
  • Month-, quarter- and year-end close tasks
  • Reconcile and analyze balance sheet and P&L accounts
  • Responsible for the internal quarterly/annual reporting processes according to US GAAP
  • Preparation of internal quarterly reporting and annual Financial Statements according to local statutory requirements
  • Statutory reporting requirements such as National Statistics
  • Close collaboration with local and global accounting teams and the Business functions to ensure compliance with both local and US GAAP
  • Proactively working with other functional teams (IT, business team etc.) to tackle potential set-up challenges in our ERP system together with implementing operational accounting processes for Gore Poland
  • Ensure a consistent accounting approach between Poland and other EMEA legal entities
  • Support inventory team and other ad hoc tasks within the accounting team

  • University degree in Accounting or Finance and/or professional accountancy qualification
  • Relevant work experience (minimum 5 years) in an international company or audit firm
  • Technical accounting knowledge: IFRS required, and US GAAP is a plus
  • Keen to take initiatives and a team player with high service-orientation
  • Positive mindset and ability to work effectively in a collaborative and international team environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs, advanced Excel and experience working with ERP systems such as JD Edwards and SAP
  • Fluent in Polish and English
