Head of Accounting (m/f/d)

Location: Full-time; Onsite (Tegel, Berlin)

Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for finance and a knack for team collaboration? We're seeking a talented individual to lead our accounting team and drive financial excellence in our organization.

As the Head of Accounting, you'll be responsible for managing our team of accountants, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Your expertise in HGB and knowledge of IFRS will be invaluable as you prepare financial statements and navigate German taxation laws.


  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a high-performing team environment
  • Preparation and filing of financial statements in a timely manner
  • Ensuring timely delivery of financial reports to meet group deadlines
  • Coordinating the annual audit process
  • Maintaining compliance with German HGB and taxation laws
  • Driving a culture of constant improvement and innovation

  • Proven experience as an audit manager, preferably from a Big 4 firm
  • Strong understanding of HGB; familiarity with IFRS is a bonus
  • Proficiency in SAP S/4 HANA (preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative work environment
  • Proven ability to motivate and inspire team members
  • Dedication to continuous improvement and a culture of excellence
  • Fluency in both German and English
  • Strong Excel skills
