Our Trading Compliance team is looking for YOU!
- Key Team Responsibilities: Our compliance team works closely with various departments to meet regulatory requirements. Advise Uniper's global energy business on issues of national and European regulation Actively review physical and financial commodity transactions such as power, natural gas, hydrogen, coal, oil, freight, emissions, green certificates, ammonia and LNG for purposes of regulatory compliance.
- Compliance Investigations: Lead or assist internal investigations and responses to internal and external inquiries in the area of trading compliance (e.g. regarding REMIT II or MAR)
- Implementation of Regulations: Play a key role in the continuing implementation of energy market and financial regulation requirements. Assist with special projects as needed.
- Training & Education: Create and present live classroom and online trainings for front office and support colleagues.
- Liaison with Regulators: Communicating with internal & external Uniper stakeholders, government agencies, regulatory bodies, and external auditors when needed.
- Policy Development & Implementation: creating and enforcing internal policies to prevent legal violations and unethical conduct.
- Strong academic background in law or economics or related studies with professional experience in the operational energy trading compliance.
- Minimum 5 years of experience advising in the commodity trading industry or banking sector on issues of national and European regulations, particularly in the context of commodities or financial market trading.
- Specific experience in one or more of the following regulatory fields MiFID II, EMIR, REMIT II, MAR and SFTR.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, judgement, enthusiasm, and interpersonal skills.
- Good communication skills and team player.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced, global environment.
- Ability to take the lead and work independently on any responsibilities within the job description.
- Ability to interact with all levels of management.
- Excellent verbal and written command of the English language essential, German language skills are desirable.
