We are EP Power Minerals GmbH, based in Dinslaken, we see ourselves as a European competence leader in the management of power plant by-products and blasting abrasives as well as industrial waste. With our subsidiaries and our internationally growing network, we have been a leading service provider for industries and the construction sector for more than 40 years, supplying them with high-quality construction materials, blasting agents and industrial materials. Our products such as fly ash, reduces the carbon footprint and invest in diverse future projects with alternative material sources to further develop the long-term sustainability of our company. We also specialise in the responsible disposal of industrial waste and the production of building materials from waste. With over 250 employees, we were able to generate a turnover of 250 million euros in 2023.
- Pro-actively progress our internal capabilities by developing deep knowledge and expertise in the supplementary cementitious materials (SCM) industry through customized analyses and insights for different target groups
- You will leverage your experience in market and economic research to be a sparring-partner and to provide expert support to our trading and sales teams: Where are the markets going? You will be two steps ahead: from market trends to technology implications, market fundamentals assessment and benchmarking to requirements analysis
- You create a structured approach to merge external information with internal information and resources to derive a clear management decision support baseline
- Identifying / Designing and implementing custom new-build and/or custom-off-the-shelf information system solutions in close collaboration with our IT Department
- Daily / weekly / monthly / quarterly generation of reports covering topics like: Trade flows, trends, market opportunities, fact-based identification of target and non-target markets; analysis of global news, politics influencing the business and derivation of strategic action;
- Identification and decision on the correct communication channels for the assessments and reports – e.g. presentations via mail, newsletters or other IT tools
- Continuous improvement of the quality of our knowledge assets and adherence to industry best practices
- Close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external stakeholders
- Successful completion of a degree in business administration, business informatics, economics, econometrics or a related course of study
- Two years of relevant experience in the development and implementation of similar functions and solutions at an industrial company, software manufacturer or consulting firm
- Cross-functional understanding of Cementitious Materials / Cement / Concrete Industry, Sales, Trading, Supply Chain Management (Logistics, Sourcing and Production) would be beneficial
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Collaborative team player with strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
- Fluent in English; Spanish and/or German language skills are a plus
- Interest in geopolitical issues and international markets
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally (up to 10-20%)
