We have an exciting opportunity for Trade Marketing Manager to join our FGX team. In this role, you will approach retailer/channel strategically to develop solutions that drive category and share growth from trade perspective. You will be responsible for providing relevant channel insights and key learnings cross-functionally to help inform innovation development and marketing plans.

In addition to the location in Kiel, other company locations are also possible, such as Munich, Braunschweig, and Bamberg.

Main responsibilities:

  • Activate shopper insights (consumer segments, role of channel in category, purchase behavior, etc.) by channel/retailer
  • Envision/create insights-driven shopper experiences (e.g. merchandising, product selection, storytelling) with an omni-channel focus
  • Develop (with cross functional team) and manage best-in-class GTM strategies and plans to ensure program execution and overall sales targets are met
  • Manage assortment/SKU management & rationalization in conjunction with Product Development
  • Thorough understanding of Global Marketing strategy and effectively distill/implement strategies in respective channels/retailers
  • Implement Global product and brand strategies, working with Commercial teams to ensure a consistent approach to how we show up in store
  • Pricing from consumer POV to drive demand and margin enhancement
  • Ability to direct creative teams and design partners to conceptualize ideas visually
  • Marketing thru retailers (e.g. promo strategy, loyalty programs such as ExtraCare and Balance Rewards, digital activation), especially Drug and Mass
  • Synthesize insights/conclusions from POS analysis / business tracking /relevant market research to drive actionable strategies for channel/retailer
  • Develop strategic selling presentations partnering with marketing & commercial teams
  • Position FGX as a strategic partner to key customers through the proposal of future-facing, insights driven category-level initiatives
  • Active participation/involvement in the forecasting process and risk & opps management

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in trade marketing, category management, or retail marketing, ideally within FMCG, consumer goods, or a related industry.
  • Experience working with key retailers and understanding of various retail channels in Germany (grocery, mass, pharmacy/drug)
  • Strong commercial acumen with functioning understanding of P&L, Excellent analytical skills, strong business and project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills, ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and changing market conditions.
