British American Tobacco Germany has an exciting opportunity for an Area Digital Connectivity Junior Manager in Hamburg!

Central Europe (CE) Area Digital Connectivity Junior Manager serves as the key link between the Global Connectivity Team and Local End Markets, ensuring smooth implementation of BAT's Connectivity Agenda. This position plays a crucial role in enabling seamless integration of mobile applications in alignment with BAT's Brand Consumer Experience Strategy. The role supports discovery phases through to final implementation, ensuring that local markets are onboarded, aligned and prepared to accommodate digital connectivity initiatives. You will be part of the Retention Digital Stream with your team being focused on Loyalty and Connectivity. We're an international team working in different markets to deliver the best digital experience across CE.


1. Global Connectivity Strategy Implementation within CE

  • Assist in the localization and deployment of BAT's global connectivity agenda for New Category products.
  • Ensure total connectivity implementation aligns with Brand Consumer Experience Strategy in each market.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between Global Connectivity Function and CE end markets.
  • Support the end markets Discovery, Planning, and Implementation phases of connectivity projects.
  • Identify market-specific challenges and opportunities, providing insights to Global teams to refine digital solutions.
  • Drive best practice sharing, and capability building to ensure seamless adoption of new digital tools.
  • Monitor CE app adoption, user engagement, and performance metrics, providing insights to improve digital solutions.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to optimize digital experiences, improve retention, and enhance consumer satisfaction.
  • Report on market feedback and success stories, ensuring continuous learning and improvement.

2. Cross-Functional Collaboration with Area Digital Workstreams

  • Work closely with End Markets, IDT, and marketing teams to assess feasibility, resources, and execution plans for digital initiatives.
  • Work closely with CRM teams to integrate consumer data and insights into digital touchpoints.
  • Collaborate with E-commerce teams to enable seamless omnichannel experiences and digital purchasing journeys.
  • Engage with IDT (Information & Digital Technology) teams to ensure system interoperability.
  • Support the coordination of global-local synergies, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and informed.

In this role you would be working with a lot of people on different levels of seniority and expertise stemmind from digital, IT, category, consumer experience. You will strengthen and further develop in project management, delivering insights and presentations in different forums.

  • University degree with a focus on in Digital Marketing, Consumer Experience or related field.
  • Passion and drive for digital are essential. Ideal candidate would supplement it with experience in digital transformation and/or consumer experience projects
  • Understanding of IoT and or API integrations and digital ecosystems is a bonus
  • Ability to translate global strategies into actionable local implementation plans.
  • Proficiency in project management, data analytics, and digital experience tracking.
  • Experience working in matrix organizations, managing multiple stakeholders across areas.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the flexibility to adapt and the resilience to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven ability to work independently and take initiative with a "can-do" mindset.
  • Effective presentation and networking abilities, with a talent for building relationships within professional network.
  • Fluency in English is required.
