As a global leader in non-destructive testing (NDT), Waygate Technologies offers the broadest portfolio of industrial inspection solutions. Our solutions include radiography and computed tomography (CT), remote visual inspection, ultrasonic, and eddy current technologies. Work with the best
During this three-and-a-half-year apprenticeship, you'll learn all about the interrelationships between mechanics, electronics, and control technology in our complex ultrasonic testing systems. You'll gain valuable experience in our ultrasonic system construction and become familiar with all relevant interfaces and processes.
We are looking for a trainee mechatronics engineer in plant engineering at our Hürth location starting September 1, 2025.
During the training as a mechatronics engineer:
- In three and a half years you will learn everything about the interrelationships between mechanics, electrical engineering and control technology.
- You process mechanical and electronic components required for the assembly of ultrasonic testing systems .
- You process mechanical components both manually and using machine tools.
- You will carry out the construction of control cabinets, the assembly and wiring of system components .
- You will learn how to work with technical drawings.
- You will have the opportunity to carry out an assembly or service assignment at the customer's premises with an experienced colleague.

To be successful in this role:
- Do you have a secondary school diploma or Abitur?
- Do you have a good understanding of mathematics as well as good written and spoken German and solid English skills?
- Do you have a strong interest in technology?
- Do you have manual skills?
- Are you characterized by a healthy team spirit, very good reliability, a high sense of responsibility as well as great curiosity and a love of learning?
