  • ​​​​​​​You balance the technical and applicative difficulties of embedding a component or module into the overall system
  • You are collaborating closely with a variety of stakeholders, experts, and external partners with a global and intercultural approach

  • You oversee development projects for laser and illumination instruments (ensuring functional chain integration).

  • You analyze different technologies and concepts to combine them to the best solution to meet customer needs.

  • You facilitate essential technical choices and assist in managing product risks.

  • You coordinate the integration, verification, and documentation processes for components.

  • Your emphasis will be on surgical applications that necessitate a deep understanding of (surgical) laser systems and or opto-electronics.


  • University-degree in technical or scientific subject, preferably related to opto-electronics.

  • Demonstrated professional experience in laser systems, preferably in the creation of medical devices related to ophthalmic surgery.

  • Adequate understanding of the applicable standards and qualifications in a lab environment.

  • Familiarity with sterile disposable instruments / captives and understanding of the regulatory framework for medical devices.

  • Basic familiarity with overseeing and guiding technical (sub-) projects and relevant instruments.

  • Balancing diverse stakeholder needs to find the most sufficient solution from a technical and project's point of view.

  • Knowledge in harnessing Intellectual Property (IP) to bolster market position is a key benefit.

  • Skill in focusing on solutions while keeping the broader context in mind.

  • Fluency in both written and spoken English along with a solid understanding of the German language.
