We are 50Hertz – one of the four transmission system operators (TSO) in Germany. Together with the Belgian electricity grid operator Elia (Brussels), we form the internationally active Elia Group. At 50Hertz, over 2,100 employees ensure that electricity flows over long distances reliably, with minimal loss, and optimally managed. As a TSO, we play a central role in the implementation of the energy transition from a technical and economic perspective, acting as a facilitator. Our goal is to integrate 100 percent renewable energy into the grid and system securely and affordably by 2032.

As IT Solution Architect (f/m/d) you will be involved at the forefront of these developments and dynamics.
My responsibilities as IT Solution Architect (f/m/d):
- Participation in major transformation projects, which require new IT solutions being integrated in the current application environment,
- Identifying business needs and proposing modern IT technologies and solutions,
- Define and design solution(s) as well as application(s) architecture in line with IT Group strategy and standards,
- Ensure best practice deployment,
- Collaboration on the IT roadmap definition synergy initiatives at Group level to simplify and rationalize the IT landscape,
- Coordination and cooperation with other IT stakeholders and the internal software factory,
- Take charge of all integration aspects regarding the new application implementation and be active as an expert to relevant committees.
- Several years of relevant experience,
- Expertise regarding the integration of new solutions into existing systems,
- Relevant experience in designing complex IT systems with broader experience in application architecture designing at functional level,
- Knowledge conerning cloud environment as well as SAP,
- Your knowledge of GIS, digital & mobile workforce technology and modern development like DevOps or Cloud platform is expected and highly appreciated,
- Autonomous, proactive, and agile working style and attitude,
- Language skills: Englisch (C1), Deutsch (min. B1), French or Dutch would be a plus.
Additional knowledge and experience in the field of software development, integration design patterns, custom application design and in the energy/electricity/utility sector would make your application particularly interesting.
