As part of our mission to drive innovation and excellence, we are looking for an ambitious and energetic Technical Account Manager (Thermal - AC Power - UPS) to join our dynamic sales team. In this role, you will be integral to managing customer accounts, driving revenue growth, and ensuring Vertiv remains the preferred partner for our clients across multiple industries.

Position Overview:


The Technical Account Manager (Thermal - AC Power - UPS) is responsible for growing the service business and increasing profitability with the assigned customers. He/she has defined short- and long-term goals to ensure that Vertiv is the customer's preferred partner throughout the product lifecycle.

You will be responsible for executing the service sales strategy and work with colleagues, local service organizations, and other internal functions to exceed customer expectations.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with proven industry experience, a strong commercial acumen, and the ability to manage complex sales cycles in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for service sales goals for selected strategic customers.
  • Long-term maintenance and building relationships with customers and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Anticipates commercial and technical needs, examines underlying causes, and identifies short- and long-term solutions.
  • Responsible for creating and tracking the Service Account Plan and Service Activity Plan. Creates and directs business development plans.
  • Manage the sale of all service products in collaboration with the strategic account managers.
  • Work closely with the sales account manager responsible for the customer to provide "one face to the customer".
  • Market observation, identification of new business opportunities and development of service action plans.
  • Ensures that all activities, tasks and responsibilities are fully complied with in accordance with the Corporate Code of Conduct and Trade.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales account management
  • Experience in critical support applications.
  • Knowledge of Cooling or Power (AC power, Switchgear, Busbars) or Rack/PDU
  • Knowledge of the Data Centre industry would be ideal
  • Demonstrated success in managing sales, negotiations, and relationships with key customers.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to execute strategic plans.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English
