Research Data Analyst / Bioinformatician / Data Scientist (f/m/d)

Job Description

The University Hospital of Tübingen is a leading center of German university medicine. Every year, around 75,000 inpatients and around 380,000 outpatients are treated. With around 10,600 employees, it is the largest employer in the region. The quality of patient care is certified with the KTQ seal of approval.

About the Core facility of genomics
The Core Facility Genomics (head Dr. Nicolas Casadei) was established in 2015 and offers sequencing services for researchers of the University of Tübingen and from overall Germany. Since 2018 it is also one of four DFG NGS (Next Generation Sequencing) competence centers for high throughput sequencing in Germany, the "NGS Competence Center Tübingen, NCCT".

Within the Core Facility, various technological applications have been implemented and are offered as research services. These include sequencing by synthesis, nanopore sequencing, single cell RNA sequencing, spatial transcriptomics, native DNA sequencing, FFPE genome sequencing, various RNA enrichment/depletion protocols and more.

In addition to providing sequencing service, we support research processes in several aspects: by knowledge transfer, by improving reproducibility of research results, and by offering highest reliability. The Core Facility Genomics is part of the Medical Faculty and located at two different sites: at the Institute of Medical Genetics and Applied Genomics and the Institute of Medical Microbiology and Hygiene.
