Your Role
The HR Officer (m/f/d) will work for the Bern Aqua organization, part of ADM in Olen, Belgium. Bern Aqua focuses on the production of fish and shrimp feed for worldwide export. This production organization has approximately 30 employees working on a wide range of tasks.
As HR Officer (m/f/d) you are responsible for taking care of the personnel administration for all employees within the organization so that the legal and company organizational regulations are guaranteed. In this position you will be responsible for all Belgian ADM employees from both Olen and our employees with an international role. You will also be part of the HR Benelux team where your tasks include:
- Administratively processing the hiring and dismissing of employees in systems and drawing up employment contracts as instructed, identifying missing data/details
- Maintaining personnel files and personnel information systems
- Recording and verifying attendance, overtime, leave and sickness data
- Verifying and processing data regarding personnel and salary changes
- Updating data on fixed salaries and deductions in connection with tax and social laws
- Offering support in the search for appropriate training courses (internal & external)
- Responding to questions from (international) employees regarding the implementation of social legislation, taxation, salary calculations, etc.
- Keeping SAP Success Factors and external HR systems (Protime, SD Worx) up to date and rolling them out
- Fleet management
As a highly dynamic individual, you will thrive in fast-paced environments where adaptability and proactiveness are key. The HR Officer should preferably have the following knowledge and experience:
- Education in personnel management & policy or equivalent through experience
- Work experience in HR-related positions
- Knowledge of Belgian laws and regulations
- Knowledge of MS Office
- Knowledge of Payroll (SD Worx) and Protime is a big plus
- Fluency in Dutch and English
- Accuracy and flexibility
