Your contribution:

Drive the development of platform system solutions and components for low voltage energy storage and conversion system products such as lithium-ion batteries
-
Develop a set of platform components (cells, HW modules, SW blocks, mechanical design principles, …), mutually aligned to allow realization of products in different product lines

Deliver system components sufficiently mature to be used as building blocks for OEM applications in subsequent application projects

Ensure system solutions and components to meet timing, product cost, development cost, and manufacturability targets
What you will do:
-
Matrix lead and drive the multidisciplinary product engineering team to achieve the technical/functional project targets, bill of material (BoM), project timing and industrialization targets.

Ensure the achievement of the required product maturity (for example, technology readiness level) over the product life cycle.

Interface with adjacent functions like application engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, quality and commercial team.

Organize cross functional team meetings and drive agenda.

Define, track, maintain and execute a platform components roadmap in alignment with stakeholders from the business and application engineering side.

Prepare technical decision options as input for the change control board and for management escalation.

Plan technical work packages (content/schedule/quality) according to the overall roadmap.

Be responsible for sample planning and adherence to engineering build management and sample release.

Act as manufacturing interface for successful realization of the sample builds.

Be responsible to release the engineering documentation to the manufacturing plants to be able to perform sample builds.
What you bring:
-
Bachelor's or Master's (preferred) degree in an engineering discipline
-
Solid years' experience of project execution experience including product launch
-
Professional experience in automotive systems development, preferably for Lithium-ion batteries, battery management systems or similar products
-
Domain knowledge in automotive electronics, software and mechanical systems
-
Ability to work in and with a global team and to lead a project team remotely

Very good written and oral communication skills in English (German is a plus)

Willingness to travel up to 30%
