  • Definition of key sourcing strategies aligned to Olympus business requirements to be socialized and executed across the global procurement team for production material and products/finished goods manufactured externally (including risk management)
  • Development of strong partnership with key business stakeholders and global procurement team members
  • Close collaboration with the global procurement organization in support of defined strategies
  • Sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiation and management
  • Ensuring of early supplier identification and selection, working closely with the Advanced Sourcing team
  • Supplier relationship management (SRM), supplier performance management and supplier development
  • Responsibility for the development and execution of a cost improvement pipeline for Olympus 3rd-party direct spend
  • Continuous improvement of material and service costs
  • Development and driving of continuous improvements in global category management and advanced sourcing processes

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related discipline, MBA or equivalent preferred
  • Many years of experience in international strategic procurement in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in leading and participating on cross-functional and/or global teams and track record of successfully leading strategic initiatives and problem-solving initiatives
  • Experience in supplier relationship management (SRM) and the development and management of an international supply base essential
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to see issues from multiple viewpoints and understand differing needs of stakeholders (e.g., Business, R&D, Quality, Operations, Suppliers)
