British American Tabacco Germany has an exciting opportunity for a E-commerce & CRM Intern in Hamburg.

What is the direct impact of this role on the team or organization?

This role directly contributes to improving online sales performance, increasing customer retention, and enhancing digital marketing efforts. The intern will play a key role in supporting daily operations and implementing innovative solutions to drive business growth.


  • Support the management of Ecommerce platforms, ensuring product listings, content, and promotions are -to-date and optimized for performance.
  • Assist in executing CRM campaigns, including email marketing, SMS, and loyalty initiatives to improve customer engagement and retention.
  • Conduct data analysis and reporting on customer behavior, campaign performance, and online sales trends to provide actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with marketing and digital teams to enhance the online shopping experience and optimize conversion rates.
  • Assist in customer segmentation and personalization strategies to drive targeted marketing efforts.
  • Help manage and track the performance of paid digital advertising campaigns in collaboration with internal teams and external agencies.
  • Conduct competitor analysis to identify industry trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support day-to-day administrative tasks related to Ecommerce & CRM operations, ensuring smooth execution of digital initiatives.

  • Some prior experience or academic exposure to Ecommerce, Digital Marketing, or CRM-related projects.
  • Basic understanding of customer relationship management principles and digital sales strategies.
  • Experience with data handling, reporting, or performance analysis in an academic or professional setting.

Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret customer data and online performance metrics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM or Ecommerce platforms is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of digital marketing tools, such as Google Analytics, email marketing software, or social media platforms.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

    EducationQualifications / Certifications Required
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business, Digital Commerce, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Ecommerce platforms (Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud) or CRM systems is a plus.
