Our Renewables Team in Düsseldorf and/ or Berlin is looking for you!

The (Senior) Business Excellence Manager role is responsible for driving, managing, and owning cross-functional programs and initiatives that span the Renewables organization to enable successful, scalable business growth. Focus areas include process optimization, performance management, digitalization and automation, and business culture (e.g. Uniper Way and professional development). The primary responsibilities are as follows:

  • Own process management workstreams, which includes mapping and documenting processes and driving impactful enhancement efforts
  • Identify critical success factors and collaborate with RES departments to focus on key performance indicators (KPIs) and instilling information transparency and accuracy
  • Support the development of digitalization and automation activities, which involves identifying innovative technologies and implementing best practices
  • Support the Renewables Leadership team with regards to:
    • Identifying and prioritizing internal projects and initiatives
    • Capabilities benchmarking, assessment and skills enhancement and other team development topics (e.g. coaching)
    • Problem solving, feedback and other organizational culture topics
  • Support the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, development and management of new and junior employees (e.g. trainees, interns)
  • Serve as a liaison and interface within Renewables and across Uniper with other support departments and enabling functions
  • Collaborate and contribute to marketing, communications and creative operations; support objectives to sharpen brand positioning through presence at fairs and conferences

  • 5-10+ years of relevant work experience, ideally in the energy and/or Renewables industry
  • Experience leading or driving cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly effective written, verbal, and presentation communications skills (includes workshop facilitation and training administration)
  • Working knowledge of Project Management, Operational Excellence, Change Management, and/or general consultancy concepts, ideally with some exposure to related tools and topics
  • Business level or fluent English (B2+), ideally with at least one other European language skill (e.g. German, Italian, French)
