About us

Your Contribution

  • Opto-mechanical design of waveguides and components from the concept phase to series production, collaborating with internal and external cross-functional partners to meet mechanical, optical, and reliability requirements
  • Leading projects on waveguide designs, process selection, prototyping, and tools for high-precision manufacturing
  • Conducting design and DFM reviews of waveguides with a focus on mechanical control, mechanical and optical interfaces, dimensional and optical specifications and tolerances, cosmetics, and product quality
  • Monitoring FMEA, failure analysis, tolerance analysis, measurement system analysis, and GD&T activities to support product scalability
  • Leading and supporting process validation studies and proof-of-concept designs
  • Serving as a point of contact for customers (internal/external) on product design studies and adjustments to the mechanical process flow
  • Designing, conducting, and analyzing experimental and production data for design and process optimization.

Your Profile

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Optical Design, or a related field (preferably with a PhD) or equivalent experience
  • Proven background in opto-mechanics with expertise in mechanical design related to optical quality metrics, precision engineering and manufacturing, as well as the development of manufacturing processes for opto-mechanical components/systems
  • Over 5 years of experience using 3D CAD software to work on large assemblies in a document-controlled environment (NX or SolidWorks)
  • Knowledge of manufacturing standards (ISO, GD&T), dimensional metrology, statistics, and their application to process and design controls in mass production
  • Experience in creating high-precision components and assemblies
  • Familiarity with the assembly of optical components/modules, interfaces, and adhesive bonds
  • Experience in mechanical and optical testing and analysis (FEA, ray tracing, reliability testing, material testing, statistical analysis, etc.).
