Head of Scheduling & Slots (m/f/d) Remote


  • Lead & develop the Scheduling and Slots team to manage the flight schedule for Condor and Marabu for the current and next schedule seasons
  • Implement seasonal flight plans including fleet deployment in close coordination with internal departments of fleet, crew, flight operations, station leadership, and maintenance
  • Secure the necessary slots to execute the flight schedule and represent Condor and Marabu at the IATA slot conferences
  • Develops and tracks operational schedule parameters in partnership with the operational teams and the Senior Manager of Strategic Scheduling
  • Develop long-term strategies to secure valuable slots at critical airports and consistently monitor slot developments to proactively look for opportunities
  • As needed, represent Condor and Marabu in meetings with governments, authorities, airport coordinators, airports, associations, and other relevant stakeholders at home and abroad
  • Creation and management of flights in Condor's relevant IT systems until the start of the Operations Windows, its distribution to all internal and external customers and the creation of the associated reports
  • Further development and continuous improvement of processes, methods, and systems in the Scheduling department including monitoring and develop solutions using latest technology
  • Ensuring internal and external communication and creation of management information
  • Management and collaboration in projects and taking on special tasks in the department

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in operational planning, logistics or network management at an airline
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in a network scheduling function at an airline
  • At least 2 years of experience managing a team or acting in a team lead role
  • Strong numerical understanding, analytical and conceptual skills
  • Initiative, high resilience, optimism, and motivation
  • Ability to manage employees
  • Ability to work in a team, confident demeanor
  • Ability to communicate even complex issues in an understandable manner
  • Must be fluent in English, German language preferred but not required
  • Very good computer skills, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and network planning tools
  • Expert knowledge of network flight scheduling tools (Netline, Sabre, Zulu etc.)
