Our Renewables Team is looking for you!

Uniper Renewables is responsible for the development of the large scale solar-PV and wind-onshore business of Uniper, predominantly in Europe. The renewables business is one of the most important pillars of our strategic ambition. Our aim is to deliver more than 1 GW growth p.a. by 2025. The Technology & Innovation team takes responsibility for techno-economic assessment of well- established as well as upcoming renewable energies business ideas. We are looking for someone that drives innovations and is a change-maker in the renewables business. We expect you to:

  • support all relevant functions within Uniper Renewables in continuous improvement with a focus on implementation of digital systems and modern technologies
  • explore new and emerging technologies and business ideas
  • carry out techno-economic assessments for new technologies or modified configurations of wind, solar and (BESS, H2, etc.) hybrid systems
  • create a competitive business advantage and organize learning through internal and external R&D&I activities
  • support provide long term technology, cost and market outlooks
  • establish relevant internal and external networks (conferences, associations, etc.) and act as business unit point of contact
  • actively promote a safe way of working culture
  • report to the team leader for technology and innovation in respect of scope, finances, schedule and HSSEQ of assigned projects and tasks

  • You have an university Master's degree or equivalent in engineering, business engineering, technology management or similar; PhD beneficial
  • You have the ability to proactively identify and implement ideas to increase profitability
  • You have the ability to analyze and disassemble complex tasks
  • You have a broad technical and economical understanding of renewable energy technologies
  • You have a strong affinity for IT and enjoy programming preferable
  • You are able to handle and prioritize multiple projects
  • You are open-minded, with a good sense of humor and appreciation of cultural differences
  • You have the ability to communicate fluently in English and German, while other language skills are appreciated
