We are seeking for our Global Procurement Team a Strategic Procurement Expert (m/f/d) for Direct Goods and Services (m/f/d) with a focus on Risk Management at KWS Berlin GmbH in Berlin or Einbeck. The objective is to define category-specific procurement strategies and implement them globally. The position will be full-time and unlimited, with the expected start date as soon as possible.

Your tasks:
  • Take global responsibility for Risk Management in Strategic Procurement
  • Handle regulations such as LkSG, CSDDD, CBAM, and EUDR
  • Conduct concrete risk assessments and execute onsite audits
  • Support and back up for Scope3 reporting and sustainability from a procurement perspective
  • General support towards Lead Expert Hub Procurement - Direct Materials & Services and procurement-related projects
  • Support spend transparency to consolidate spend across the group
  • Coordinate procurement activities and manage relationships with both internal stakeholders (Global Transaction Center in Berlin, KWS Management C-Level, and the respective departments within the global Business Units) and external stakeholders
  • Work closely with the function Global Risk and Sustainability
  • Generate continuous improvements regarding data, processes, system applications, products, and services
  • Willingness to travel globally up to approx. 50%

Your profile:
  • Academic degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or similar
  • Proven track record in conducting comprehensive audits and driving successful change management initiatives
  • Profound expertise in Risk Management and regulations such as LkSG, CSDDD, CBAM, and EUDR
  • Extensive years of experience in Strategic Procurement or Supply Chain Management, preferably in the field of agriculture, chemicals, food, or pharma
  • Fluent in both English and German (oral and written); proficiency in additional languages is a plus
  • Experience in relevant IT systems is of advantage such as Ariba, Prewave, SAP (TM, MM, SD, PP), MS Office
  • Strong analytical skills, solution-oriented, and able to work successfully in a complex organization
  • Team player with a hands-on mentality
  • Questions the status-quo and eager to develop the functional expertise further to reach state-of-the-art service delivery
