The location of this position is in Neuss (NRW) or remote.


Direct sales activities in a wide geographical area (Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Netherlands, UK, Portugal, Czech Republic, Poland, Sweden; other adjacent Countries will be evaluated), acting as the preferred link between the customers and any potential prospects and Hyperion. The role will be a mix of managing existing Hyperion customers: preparation and follow up of sales calls, offer presentations, maintenance, development of key relationships and also identifying and landing new prospects.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Developing and executing individual sales plans, achieving yearly sales targets and new lead generation
  • Daily use of CRM tools to help drive growth by managing the sales opportunity funnel for both existing customer opportunities and new prospects
  • Support sales forecast process
  • Manage and implement the pricing plan
  • Understand customer needs, applications, processes, analyze the performance determining factors and design requirements, promote and offer suitable engineering and Hyperion material solutions
  • Serve as a liaison between Hyperion engineering and customers while developing and testing products
  • Share application knowledge and customer experience with Hyperion teams
  • Provide competitor information, market intelligence and technology trends in industry specific to relevant areas of application
  • Attend industry specific trade shows, both as visitor and exhibitor

  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in technical sales and/or application engineering
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or material sciences preferred
  • Highly customer-focused and result-oriented with strong personal drive to prioritize, follow up and close deals
  • Excellent networking and partnership-building skills with internal and external customers
  • Fluent in English and German, with excellent oral and written communication skills across multiple levels and regions
  • Clear thinking and problem-solving abilities, with experience in leading application development and responding to challenging situations
  • Demonstrated leadership, adaptability, and integrity, with experience in multi-functional environments and understanding of various processes
  • Strong technical background with an understanding of customer processes, applications, and material properties, including basic production processes for cemented carbide and related materials
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP, and CRM software, with knowledge of cemented carbide or diamond applications being a plus
  • Willingness to travel within Europe (50%), limited international travel for training
