As Data Architect (all genders) you are part of Roland Berger's powerful and global IT team. Together with highly motivated colleagues you can contribute significantly to the digitalization of our company by developing ideas and delivering solutions for a secure, reliable, and leading-edge IT.

With your data and architecture background, you set the vision for Roland Berger's future enterprise data management framework and ensure its alignment with business and IT architectures.

Your key responsibilities are:

  • Define and manage the end-to-end enterprise data architecture covering source applications, data integrations, and data warehousing / reporting
  • Own the core data processing software architecture (data integration, data warehousing) from selecting the platform, designing the technical architecture to developing the application using modern tools
  • Own and manage the high-level enterprise data model as well as the flow of data and its dissemination within the organization in alignment with business processes (including alignment with data security and compliance)
  • Create procedures to ensure data accuracy and accessibility as well as promote fault-tolerance within data processing across the application landscape from data entry to reporting
  • Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external vendors for the smooth functioning of the enterprise data system

  • Master or Bachelor in a relevant subject, preferably in the field of computer science, business informatics, automation technology or equivalent; additional data and architecture certifications are a plus
  • Strong background in data management and preferably already experience as a data architect
  • Proficiency in data modeling and design (including SQL and big data technologies in preferably a cloud environment)
  • Strong and effective team and stakeholder communication to coordinate and collaborate with users, system designers and developers
  • Effective communication skills in English, good German skills are a plus
