- Find creative ideas for new formulations, product designs and production technologies in the field of adhesives and tapes and assessment, selection and implementation of most promising ideas
- Polymer and formulation development for new functional adhesives & films and integration into new products and applications
- Development, evaluation and implementation of new concepts for new technologies and manufacturing processes in close cooperation with internal departments, suppliers and external cooperation partners
- Position may require one to take over responsibility to lead projects and feasibility studies in interdisciplinary teams
- Passion to also work in the lab hands-on and supervise co-workers
- Secure development results with own IP
- Scout new ideas and trends
- PhD, in polymer chemistry, supramolecular chemistry, materials science or similar discipline
- Professional experience in the fields of organic and macromolecular synthesis
- Deep Understanding in the area of reaction mechanisms and analytical methods (NMR, GPC, MALDI-ToF, others). Experience and interest in polycondensation chemistry, electro-chemistry or simulation advantageous
- Competence and enthusiasm to extract relevant information from literature and patents and to transfer it to own work
- Motivation to cope with challenging and changing environments and adapt to new tasks readily responding to dynamic markets
- Team oriented and analytic workstyle with ability to integrate in divers and interdisciplinary teams
- Excellent written and communication skills English essential. German is advantageous, but not a requirement.
