Amazon (OTS SC) has an immediate opening as RAD Area Manager to support our new building RDE1. The Operations Technology Solutions Supply Chain organization manages and is responsible for a wide variety of hardware testing and deployment, new device launches and project initiatives that cross business teams and operations groups within Amazon Fulfillment IT.

About the team
Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) looks after heavy and bulky items like furniture and large home appliances. Our team manages the entire service, from supply chain fulfillment, to delivery and returns. What sets this service apart from others is the extra level of customer care. Not only do we deliver large items, but we unpack, assemble and install them, and take away old items where needed. With a focus on safety, productivity and innovation, we're changing the way customers buy and receive large goods for the better.

We have ambitious plans to expand our specialist fulfillment centers and delivery stations across the UK and Europe. While those of us who work in delivery stations will do some night shifts, most of us work during the day. Our team is made up of people across operations, supply chain, business intelligence and program management, and everyone plays a crucial role in growing this part of the business.


  • Create, oversee, and drive a culture of safety and wellbeing
  • Analyze and implement changes to keep quality and productivity at a consistently high level
  • Oversee projects to streamline processes, optimize productivity and increase quality of service for customers within your area of responsibility
  • Analyze shift performance against relevant business objectives, and put in place actions to improve our operational excellence
  • Work collaboratively with management-level colleagues to standardize EU wide practices

Besides others, your core responsibilities will be the following:

  • Steer all warehouse flow activities - receive, stow, pick, pack, provision, RMA
  • Steer all dock flow activities – IB and OB
  • Allocate daily and weekly RAD Support AA resources to meet demand
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing trucks in coordination with dock team
  • Monitor weekly and daily forecast vs. capacity for all standard RAD operative tasks
  • Troubleshoot and support RAD Support AAs in all daily activities
  • Ensure of correct processing of requests in DSCS
  • Inventory management
  • Monitor and report on defined KPIs
  • Steer ICQA activities within RDE1 - Weekly cycle counts, Inventory maintenance, Physical storage maintenance (5s, etc.)
  • Monitoring of threshold levels using DSCS and inventory dashboards
  • Inventory balancing between 3PL and RAD
  • Enforce safety guidelines and execute H&S audits
  • Ensuring a clean and safe work environment for the whole team
  • Cooperating in diverse team with rapidly changing priorities in an ambiguous environment
  • Standing and/or walking during a minimum 8 hour shift
  • Lift up to 35 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
  • Work in an environment that is subject to variable temperatures and weather

  • You have a completed bachelor's degree or 2+ years of Amazon experience
  • You take ownership in your work and team and are available to work overtime during Amazon's peak holiday season and as needed year-round. In addition, you are flexible to work on any type of assigned shift (nights, weekends, etc.).
  • You pride yourself in leading others; you have direct management experience and have been responsible for your employees' performance.
  • You have an eye for efficiency and have experience identifying and executing process improvement initiatives.
  • Fluent in German and English

The position will work Mon-Fri in early shift model with flexibility according to/in line with operational requirements between 06:00-18:00.
Overtime will be required according to changing volume streams.
