With a fleet of 287 modern container ships and a Vessel Capacity 2.2 million TEU, as well as a Container Capacity 3.2 million TEU including one of the world's largest and most modern reefer container fleets, Hapag-Lloyd is one of the world's leading liner shipping companies. Decoupling our component based monolithic solutions, re-think and build independent cloud-based modules with a microservice architecture to keep our IT leadership within the industry. Our product teams are responsible for the global implementation of new functionalities within the Freight-Information-System (FIS), our core operating system.   • As a SolutionArchitect (m/f/d), you will be responsible for guiding our product teams to take the right architectural decisions
  • You will support the architectural design within the Master Data, Finance & Organization products
  • You will collaborate with Enterprise architects to further enhance our solutions and share decisions with the product teams
  • You will actively support the product teams to implement modern, de-coupled and scalable cloud solutions
  • You will safeguard architectural standards are followed and give guidance to the products on latest developments
  • You will create reference implementations for specific architectural questions and share your experiences with the product teams
  • You will train & explain architectural architypes to continuously improve our product solutions

What you'll need to succeed

  • University degree or a comparable education within a relevant field
  • In-depth knowledge of architecture patterns, methodologies, and best practices
  • Experience in the development with Java EE and related technologies such as JPA, CDI and Junit
  • Experience working as an IT solution architect
  • Strong analytical mindset, proactive and solution-oriented work style
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills as well as intercultural competence
  • Experience in agile methods
  • As an internationally active company, we require a good command of written and spoken English
  • Interest in technology and innovation – we want to continuously learn and adapt our technology and solutions

Nice if you have:

  • Experiences on transformation projects from a monolithic system to a microservice cloud architecture
  • Knowledge of Master Data and Finance processes
  • Understanding of container shipping business is an advantage
