With a fleet of 287 modern container ships and a Vessel Capacity 2.2 million TEU, as well as a Container Capacity 3.2 million TEU including one of the world's largest and most modern reefer container fleets, Hapag-Lloyd is one of the world's leading liner shipping companies. A total of 114 liner services worldwide ensure fast and reliable connections between more than 600 ports across the world. In the Terminal & Infrastructure segment, Hapag-Lloyd has stakes in 20 terminals in Europe, Latin America, the United States, India, and North Africa. The roughly 2.600 employees assigned to the Terminal & Infrastructure segment deal with terminal-related activities and provide complementary logistics services at selected locations.


In this key role, you will have a unique opportunity to work closely with our CEO and significantly shape both the external and internal perception of our company.
  • Develop and implement communication strategies for the CEO office
  • Create and manage content for various internal and external communication channels
  • Provide editorial support for internal communication projects (intranet, events, etc.)
  • Collaborate closely and engage directly with the CEO
  • Oversee communication projects, including project management and success evaluation
  • Analyze and monitor the media landscape and track competitors
  • Serve as a point of contact for media inquiries, with initial experience as a corporate spokesperson
  • Develop initiatives to strengthen the company's internal and external perception

  • A completed degree in communication, journalism, or a comparable professional qualification with relevant specialization (or an equivalent additional qualification)
  • Several years of professional experience in communication/media relations and in positioning top management and executive communication
  • Strong understanding of societal, political, macroeconomic, and business-related topics, along with solid editorial skills (both online and offline)
  • Ability to present complex topics in a clear and accessible manner for different target audiences
  • Confident handling of various stakeholders and strong intercultural competence
  • Knowledge of digital media, social media, and current communication trends
  • Experience in the conception and production of video and TV formats is an advantage
  • Excellent English skills, ideally native or fluent in both written and spoken English
