Right now, we are seeking highly qualified candidates to fill the position:

Legal Director/Senior Legal Advisor (m/f/d)

Location: Berlin


  • Support the Legal Director by making a significant and proactive contribution to the German Legal team strategy, priorities, team meetings and team issues
  • Able to work independently with German senior leaders including the Country President supporting key strategies and priorities for Pfizer Germany
  • Deputize for the Legal Director, as needed
  • Identify and propose opportunities to innovate, refocus, develop or tailor the German Legal team service taking account of business needs, financial constraints and industry developments
  • Advise on and draft/review/negotiate complex and high value agreements, protecting Pfizer's interests
  • Assist with product launches and marketing campaigns
  • Protect Pfizer's interests in relation to claims, disputes and FOI applications
  • Proactively identify, educate and inform internal clients about legal issues and changes to the legal environment in order to pre-empt risks and allow Pfizer to gain the maximum benefit from legal advice
  • Actively participate in Legal Division committees
  • Share best practices across the Legal Division
  • Lead legal projects from conception to implementation.


  • Experienced pharmaceutical lawyer with strong commercial acumen

  • At least 8 years of experience as syndics lawyer or lawyer at a law firm

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or advising clients within the pharmaceutical industry strongly preferred

  • Proven ability to cultivate strong client relationships, build credibility and successfully influence leadership in a fast-paced business climate.

  • Strategic and proactive. Anticipates needs and able to prioritize quickly.

  • Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills

  • The ability to effectively manage matters with little supervision

  • A high level of initiative and strong orientation towards results

  • Excellent negotiation skills

  • language capabilities: fluent in English and German (speaking and writing, able to negotiate contracts)

  • Periodic travel to other countries may be required
