Our Structuring & Trading Capability Team is looking for YOU! Global Origination (GLO) is seeking to create a team of transaction managers who will play a critical role in transaction execution, and operations of the GLO department.

  • Support originators (across Power, Gas and New Energies) in managing transaction life-cycle, including internal approval processes, development of FD/SD presentations, clarifying processes etc
  • Assist in Global Origination's (GLO) planning and reporting (MTP and LT planning) as well as manage ad-hoc financial aspects of the business
  • Support/lead in the preparation of recurring tasks such as Uniper's Performance Dialogue, deal funnels, etc.
  • Develop and maintain efficient interfaces to key internal departments including Risk, Business controlling and Group Finance
  • As required, provide project management capabilities and contract management for GLO's strategic projects/transactions
  • Support decisions and discussions on potential projects, investments, portfolio, strategies, etc. by modelling and analysing business cases and financial data. Understanding of economic deal evaluation
  • Prepare and review (upper) management summaries, presentations, questions for regular and/or special events

  • Educated in a relevant discipline, with a strong quantitative focus (engineering, business administration, economics, finance, mathematics, or similar subjects).
  • Several years of relevant work experience in the energy/global commodities sector performing functions of: Portfolio management, Deal structuring, Risk, Business Controlling, Finance or Strategy
  • Commercial awareness and broad understanding of transactions in the energy sector
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail
  • Very strong English communication (written and spoken), and presentation skills. Comfortable making presentations and speaking in front of an audience
  • Ability to manage projects with a problem-solving, proactive, and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with a team player attitude yet also the ability to work independently
