As a committed Strategic Manufacturing Program Planner / Operations Strategist, you will have a key role in strategic capacity planning and managing critical projects that drive important decisions within Operations for the MED implants and disposables business.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Guiding strategic capacity planning for the Carl Zeiss Meditec implants and disposables across international manufacturing sites, functioning as the principal reference for long-term operational plans.

  • Enacting the capacity planning process in newly acquired businesses and overseeing post-merger integration (PMI) operations within the operations strategy team.

  • Organizing capacity committee meetings with management to facilitate decision-making on capacity build projects, which encompass site expansions and the establishment of new sites.

  • Generating business case assessments for investment resolutions and assembling presentations for the MED Board to support management choices.

  • Designing calculation methods and tools for strategic volume planning and allocations, while steadily enhancing the strategic planning process.

  • Managing strategic operations projects focused on boosting the efficiency of our operational functions and processes, while also playing a role in the formulation of operations strategy and assessing data to generate pertinent scenarios in line with MED's strategic aims.

  • You will take part in M&A activities concerning operations


  • Master's degree in either business or engineering

  • In-depth experience in strategic planning and/or in a strategic operations department or consultancy / or any other role focused on operations strategy

  • Profound experience in global operations environment

  • Very good Excel and Powerpoint skills for top management presentations

  • Solid collaborative and teamworking abilities, structured and results-driven work methods

  • Strong, audience-oriented communication skills - very good knowledge in English and German
