To that end, the company invested more than €300 million last fiscal year in research and development.We are looking for a Senior Software Developer (all gender) for scientific applications on a full-time and permanent basis as soon as possible to strengthen a well-established development team within KWS Saat SE & Co. KGaA in Einbeck, Germany. After an induction phase, we can coordinate on remote work within Germany.
We are looking for an experienced person (m/f/d) in software development to implement an existing application from scratch and modernize it technologically. You are happy to take the lead in software architecture issues for this topic. The application is an integral part of our software landscape to provide IT support for the latest approaches in plant breeding and molecular biology at various international KWS locations. You will strengthen an experienced SCRUM team and work hand in hand with a long-standing product owner from the field of molecular biology. Previous knowledge of plant breeding and genetics is not mandatory, these are brought into the project by the experts.
Your tasks:
They are convinced that an understanding of technical interrelationships is a basic prerequisite for efficient and effective software development. In workshops, you will analyze the business domain together with the experts. Based on this, you will design and implement a suitable software solution based on Domain-Driven Design, .NET and Web technologies in close cooperation with the users. You will develop both on the front and on the back end. By applying modern DevOps techniques and by supporting our existing DevOps experts in the other project teams, you will ensure smooth and efficient operation of the software.
Your profile:
- Practical experience with vertically cut systems (e.g. SCS, microservices) and the associated challenges and experience in building the architecture
- Practical experience in professional software development (e.g. dependency injection, mocking, TDD, CI/CD pipelines) and lead development as well as agile software development (e.g. SCRUM)
- Very good knowledge of C# and ASP .Net Core, as well as good knowledge of web technologies (CSS, HTML5, JavaScript)
- Confident handling of GIT, Windows, Linux and relational databases (PostgreSQL), as well as knowledge of Azure DevOps, Jira or GitLab
- Experience with Domain-Driven Design is a plus, and knowledge of .NET Blazor, Docker, and Kubernetes is desirable
- Fluent in English and German
