- You are an experienced (Senior) Legal Counsel willing and capable of additionally taking over a managing role by leading functionally and disciplinarily legal in-house counsel of the Divisions Industry and Real Estate in Germany and abroad
- You will be reporting to the Head of Corporate Legal TÜV SÜD AG
- You take a regular “seat at the table” in management and strategy meetings of the named Divisions
- Together with your team you drive harmonization, standardization and digitalization related to legal documents and processes
- You optimize and streamline legal documents and processes together with our Legal Operations Team
- You provide legal advice to the management and operations of the Divisions
- You draft, review and negotiate (inter)-national contracts inter alia in the energy sector (conventional, nuclear, solar and wind power), e.g. for major wind parks or industrial sites, for projects and cooperations related to Green Energy, Hydrogen and Sustainable Technologies
- You will focus on contractual and commercial law, are keen on working in other legal fields, such as IT law and are generally interested in working legally in a broad range of fields.
- You support the operations of major international tenders
- You work cross-functionally in interdisciplinary projects (e.g. M&A projects)
- You provide legal trainings for employees and management
- Fully qualified German lawyer (1st and 2nd state exams) or equivalent, top 10% of class/graduation with honors (“Prädikatsexamen”)
- At least 10 years of experience in a law firm or as in-house legal in an international environment
- Excellent analytical and conceptual skills
- Interest in international, new and complex legal issues
- Great team-player with ample self-motivation as well as strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ideally already proven leadership / management experience and skills
- Pragmatic approach and “hands-on”-mentality with desire to work cross-functionally
- Keen interest in legal tech developments
- Excellent command of written and spoken German and English; willingness to travel
