The Position

The Innovation Unit (IU) is leading innovation in science and technology to deliver breakthrough therapies that transform the lives of patients. The IU Controlling team acts as Business Partner to the IU and their project teams and helps in steering the investments into our pipeline. We invite you to explore this exciting opportunity in our Corporate IU Controlling team.


  • The Manager Controlling IU - Function TMCP (Translational Medicine & Clinical Pharmacology) acts as Business Partner to the TMCP Head and the leadership-team with an overall responsibility for all financial- and controlling relevant activities within the function.
  • In your new role, you will pro-actively provide financial advice and guidance to your stakeholders from TMCP to achieve business targets, keeping in mind consequences for existing targets and reporting requirements.
  • Therefore, you will plan, report, analyze and monitor functional cost and provide financial transparency and proposals for optimization to achieve targets.
  • Based on your result-oriented and inter-disciplinary work, you will support decisions of your business partner by looking ahead and providing excellence and insights to support solutions with impact.
  • Within Compliance, you will also be responsible for financial integrity, ensuring that all financial topics within the function TMCP are in line with internal and external regulations.
  • Finally, you will strive for innovation and train Business Partners in all related financial planning, reporting and steering processes.

  • Diploma or Master's degree or comparable in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar with several years of relevant work experience in a Controlling position.
  • Communicative team player with a good critical judgement, analytical skills paired with strategic and long-term thinking, the ability to present complex matters clearly and a process-, customer- and business partner-oriented mind-set.
  • Excellent proficiency in financial analysis, modeling, reporting and forecasting. Experience in Medicine Controlling / Knowledge in Clinical Studies is of significant advantage.
  • System affinity with strong functional and business know-how and the ability to understand the "big picture".
  • Knowledge of internal and external accounting.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
