The Bavarian International School gAG (BIS) is an international all-day school consisting of a campus in the north of Munich (in Haimhausen) and a campus in Munich-Schwabing. Around 1,200 students from more than 60 nations between the ages of 3 and 18 attend the recognized IB World School including kindergarten. Under the motto "Believe. Inspire. Succeed", the students enjoy a holistic education with English as the language of instruction. Intercultural competence, collaborative and inspiring learning, respect, social responsibility and cosmopolitanism characterize the spirit of BIS. BIS has 240 employees, including an international faculty of 180 teachers.
Your Responsibility:

Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of the business requirements and technology platforms of the school as they relate to technology usage across both the academic and administrative departments

Maintaining close liaison with companies and agencies involved in the development of IT programs

The implementation of policies and procedures applicable to administrative staff inclusive of the appraisal system

Continued evaluation of new programs and technologies as they relate to the strategic goals of the school

Supporting and facilitating technology support for the school's educational and extracurricular programs
Your duties:

Creation, planning and implementation of IT developments and innovations and overseeing the coordination of IT services throughout the school

IT Infrastructure planning and budgeting as well as disaster recovery planning

Creation of workflows and supportive infrastructure as well as supervision of IT technicians, network administrator, and systems engineers

Liaising with the school's leadership team in terms of the needs and usage of technology in the curriculum and teaching and learning and for future IT vision

Exploring opportunities with companies and/or other educational institutions for collaboration and research as well as overseeing the development and updating of the school's online resources and communication forums

Being part of the Leadership team and bringing ideas and suggestions into the planning for and from the IT department, feeding back educational provision, IT related issues, ideas and an IT vision to support the school improvement plan

Supporting the Business Director in creating workflows and a supportive infrastructure and

Co-operate with the facilities management in the planning of technical infrastructure and technology

Assisting the Business Director in establishing contact with contractors, vendors and outsourced technicians to further develop the school's IT provision

Providing the main contact for outsourced technicians and defining service levels and service requirements

Supervising the IT department and directing the team, scheduling projects, setting focusses and deciding on allocation of personnel
- 3 - 5 years of experience in a leadership position
- Excellent in German and fluent in English
- Business, administrative, and organizational skills
- Experience in industry/economic
- Strong communication skills and intercultural competence
