Senior Business Analyst (m/f/d)


  • Lead detailed business and technical requirements analysis for banking projects with strong focus on core banking platforms ensuring all functional, non-functional and regulatory needs are comprehensively captured
  • Support evaluation of vendor proposals, system demonstrations and discovery phases, providing critical analysis, and recommendation for different systems selection
  • Work closely with diverse stakeholders, business units, IT teams and external parties to gather input, align objectives and address concerns through the whole analysis process
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation including product specifications, business processes, requirements traceability matrices, providing transparency to all stakeholders
  • Conduct in-depth gap analysis between current state capabilities and desired future state to identify gaps, inconsistences and areas requiring customization and further improvements
  • Evaluate the potential impact of proposed solutions on business processes, data flows, operations, technology architecture and customer
  • Provide strategic and business input on the design and architecture of core banking ecosystem, working with IT architects and other technical specialists to shape system capabilities
  • Oversee and review the development of both functional and technical specifications, ensuring alignment between requirements and system capabilities
  • Address and resolve high impact and complex issues in the core banking ecosystem, such as critical system integrations, and major process inefficiencies
  • Lead negotiations and interactions with external vendors and partners
  • Engage with senior leadership and key decision-makers to present analysis and influence strategic decisions
  • Oversee and review end to end testing strategy, especially UAT phase
  • Guide and mentor other analysts, providing expertise, oversight and ensuring quality outputs across the teams

  • Educated to bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Sound experience in business analysis within the banking sector
  • Strong expertise in core banking systems, processes and regulatory requirements
  • Strong understanding of system architecture, data modelling, business process engineering and digital transformation trends within the banking sector
  • Proven capability in managing change initiatives and complex projects
  • Experience leading and mentoring teams of business analysts
  • Proficiency in working with various project methodologies such as Agile, Scrum and hybrid approaches
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills English. German is a plus
  • Good knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, MS Office and MS Visio
