Unit description

Grid Field Operations is executing Field Operations, Maintenance and (Baseload) Projects. We ensure the integrity and safety of our assets entrusted to us, while also ensuring their maximum availability. We make sure that the onshore grids of TenneT is reliable in Germany and the Netherlands.
TenneT is growing fast to realize its strategic ambitions. We play a leading role in driving the energy transition. We are looking for a passionate Maintenance Engineer (m/f/d) for our team Technical Systems 2GW at our location Hannover who will contribute to this and that might be you?

  • The weekly working time is 37 hours
  • The position is unlimited
  • As this position is offshore, medical suitability for offshore assignments according to AWMF standards as well as fitness for work at heights will be determined by our company doctor

  • With your self-starter mentality you familiarize yourself with the system requirements of the 2GW program, according to your discipline
  • By actively contributing to model reviews, safety assessments, HazID, HazOP, FMECA workshops during the RAMS development phase and you ensure, that operational and maintenance aspects are sufficiently taken into account during the project phase of the grid connection system
  • You ensure that design particulars are implemented in operational and maintenance strategies and concepts, such that safe and efficient operation of the systems can be achieved when the operational phase starts. Needed spare parts are identified and made available
  • You actively participate in the various verification and validation activities during the respective project phases and ensure proper documentation of results together with the stakeholders
  • Through networking within the company, you can gather experience from other departments of the company and use it profitably for your work. You actively involve subject matter experts to achieve the best possible results
  • You understand the value of asset data and documentation to operations and maintenance, and you ensure that relevant data is maintained in the right systems to enable safe and efficient maintenance
  • You are actively providing lessons learned on the technology and the operations readiness framework to ensure continuous improvement

  • You hold an academic degree in engineering in the fields of electrical engineering, automation engineering or comparable. Alternatively, you have a comparable educational qualification and relevant professional experience
  • In addition, you have experience in the energy and technology sector, preferably in the field of offshore projects and/or field operations & maintenance, experience from the offshore wind industry is an advantage
  • You have a broad technical background and enjoy working in a generalist way. At the same time, you are willing to get involved in details if necessary
  • You are a team player who contributes to an exceptional team cohesion. Ideally, you have experience in working with international teams
  • Your are fluent in German and English, both verbally and in writing
  • This role is also intended for temporary/permanent secondment to shipyards by arrangement. Therefore, you are willing to travel europe-and worldwide within the framework of the project (up to 3-5 years) and have a class B driving license
  • Depending on the project situation, the average travel time is approx. 50% of the working time
