We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Manager Business Development to spearhead our efforts in a board-sponsored new field of business. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for emerging technologies and a proven track record in driving business growth in regards of the following tasks:

Identify and pursue business opportunities in a new field of business.

Conduct market research to understand trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape

Assess leads for their commercial and strategic potential

Develop and implement strategic partnerships with key industry players

Collaborate with product management and technology teams at ZEISS to align business strategies with product offerings

Create and deliver compelling presentations to board-level stakeholders and potential clients

Support negotiation of contracts and deals

Master's degree, ideally in business or technical fields, PhD or MBA is a plus
-
5+ years of working experience, ideally in business development, strategy, sales or product management in the technology sector

Ability to quickly understand technologies and their applications

Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills

Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to structure complex challenges

Personal resilience and willingness to travel internationally

Fluent in English, additional languages as a plus
