Synthesis of New Materials / Preperation of Copolymers: Conduct carbiocationic polymerization with crosslinking at elevated temperatures to prepare copolymers:

Route A: Block Copolymer vs. Random Oriented Investigate the properties of block copolymers in comparison to randomly oriented copolymers

Route B: Variation of Cross-Linker Amount Explore the effect of different cross-linker amounts (2%, 5%, 10%) on the properties of the copolymers

Purify and characterize the synthesized polymer material using appropriate analytical techniques

Evaluation of Material Properties o Assess the optical and mechanical properties of the new polymer-based materials. o Evaluate the injectability, ageing, and other relevant properties of the materials to ensure suitability for medical implantable devices

Skilled and motivated masters student

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry is mandatory
