Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) consultant (m/f/d)


  • Provide day-to-day support for the Centric PLM system, ensuring it remains operational, stable, and optimized. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in collaboration with internal and external teams, like product development, global sales, Digital, etc..
  • Work closely with the Solution Architect to design and implement new features and improvements for the existing PLM system. Help extend and scale the system as per evolving business needs.
  • The candidate will collaborate with the Solution Architect and other team members to ensure the system runs smoothly, provide technical support, and deliver system enhancements aligned with business objectives.
  • Assist in customizing the Centric PLM solution to meet specific business requirements, ensuring it is efficient and effective in supporting product development workflows.
  • Assist with integrations between Centric PLM and other business systems (e.g., ERP, MDM, etc.), ensuring seamless data flow and process automation.
  • Conduct system testing for new releases and upgrades. Ensure all updates are properly tested, validated, and deployed with minimal disruptions to business operations.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations, user guides, and troubleshooting procedures.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with Centric PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) solutions. Familiarity with other PLM tools is a plus.
  • Previous experience in Centric PLM implementation or support in a manufacturing or product development environment.
  • Strong understanding of PLM architecture, configuration, and integrations. Being able to both configure in a SAAS environment as well as on premise.
  • Certification in Centric PLM or related PLM systems is a plus.
  • The role will require a blend of technical expertise, effective problem-solving skills, and strong collaboration with stakeholders to drive continuous system improvements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, German is a plus, with the ability to translate complex technical information into business-friendly terms.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional environment, collaborating with business teams, IT professionals, and solution architects to deliver results.
