About the team
The EU Trustworthy Listings team is part of the broader EU Trustworthy Shopping Experience team. We work to ensure that all the products offered In Europe, across the various Amazon business channels, are safe for our customers and compliant with all product and food safety legal requirements. We bring technical expertise leveraging technology solutions to serve Amazon business, suppliers and customers.
We are looking for an independent and organized risk manager with a solid background on product safety, compliance and project management to join our team. The candidate requires problem solving skills, ownership, ability to talk internally with leadership and externally with multiple stakeholders with different profiles, and strong ability to influence. In this position, the candidate will:
- Work across legal, compliance and business teams to drive programs and projects around product safety and compliance
- Work with stakeholders to identify gaps; propose mitigating actions; manage escalations; anticipate and make trade-offs;
- Clearly communicate goals, responsibilities, issues and status to partners teams and stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Ability to influence across multiple teams and organizations to drive program deliverables and present complex information in a concise manner in written English
- Partner with multiple internal stakeholders such as Product, Technology Owners, Legal, Public Relations and Public Policy and external stakeholders such as Regulatory Agencies, Customs Authorities and Law Enforcement across EU, NA and JP to support enforcements on identified suspected infringement of intellectual property and other types of product abuse
- Run complex Data Analysis to provide strategy
- Utilize and improve existing investigative strategies and solutions to prevent and mitigate risk;
- Investigate complex cases of suspected infringement of intellectual property and other types of product abuse (unsafe or restricted products) using high-level judgement to own complex enforcement decisions;
- Present investigation findings, risk areas with data and clear suggestions to mitigate them.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent
- Experience handling confidential information
Preferred qualifications
- Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials
- Experience with SQL and Excel
- Experience in program requirements definition, together with data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements
