The Procurement Category Management Aviation Training (ATR) is responsible for the strategic procurement of all training devices within Lufthansa Group. This includes flight simulators, cabin trainers, and training aircraft.
Your tasks:
- Being responsible for strategic procurement activities for the relevant product groups
- Developing procurement alternatives, analyzing specifications, and unlocking cost-saving opportunities within the ATR category
- Promoting sustainability among suppliers and ensuring ESG legislation and regulations in cooperation with other stakeholders at LAT/LHG
- Leading and developing strong relationships with suppliers to foster trust, communication and collaboration
- Analyzing and assessing supplier performance and developing measures for improvement
- Continuously improving the relevant purchasing and supplier management processes
Your profile:
- Completed university degree in economics or engineering or through relevant training and professional experience, knowledge and skills to be assessed equally for the task
- Several years of relevant professional experience, ideally in the field of purchasing / supplier management
- English and German: business fluent
- Results-oriented, cross-company thinking and acting
- Confident appearance, persuasiveness and assertiveness
- Strong communication skills, negotiation and presentation skills
- Strong planning, coordination and disposition skills
- Pronounced flexibility and initiative as well as decision-making ability
- Ability to work under pressure; willingness to travel
