Topas Therapeutics is a Hamburg- clinical-stage biotechnology company pioneering a novel approach to treat autoimmune and immune-mediated diseases. Our proprietary Topas Platform leverages antigen-coupled nanoparticles to target liver sinusoidal endothelial cells, inducing a tolerogenic immune response. This innovative approach has the potential to address a wide range of autoimmune diseases, including celiac disease. Finance Manager (f/x/m)
As a key member of our team, you will play a significant role in driving our growth and ensuring our financial stability.
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Conduct regular financial forecasts based on operational activity progress and changes.
- Monitor financial deviations to the approved budget and indicate timely mayor financial deviations.
Accounting and Reporting:
- Oversee accurate and timely financial accounting on an ongoing basis (accounting is outsourced to external tax advisor).
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Reassure accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements and support audit of such.
- Prepare financial and ESG reporting to shareholders (venture funds) and other stakeholders (e.g. insurance etc.).
Cashflow Management:
- Manage cash flow to optimize working capital and reassure optimal liquidity.
Grant Management:
- Support application and identification of suitable grant funding opportunities.
- Prepare (financial) reporting to respective grant authorities.
Payroll accounting and administration:
- Oversee accurate and timely payroll processing and accounting on an ongoing basis (payroll is outsourced to external payroll accountant).
- Collect payroll relevant information (sickness, holiday etc.) and share with payroll accountant.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in finance and accounting, ideally in startups or biotech.
- Strong expertise in financial forecasting and reporting.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Able to work independently and in a team.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with fundraising and investor relations is a plus.
