Ph.D student - Translational Psychiatry (We are targeting applicants of all genders)Full time | limited for 3 years | Announcement number: 953-2024   Within the framework of this DFG grant the detailed mechanisms underlying aggressive and impulsive behavior will be investigated in close collaboration with many research groups within the consortium (for details see www.trr379.de . Together, these studies may help to develop novel therapeutic approaches, specifically the use of the microbiome and novel genetic factors, which are sorely required due to the rising incidences of aggression in modern societies. Your role Mouse behavioural assessment Molecular analyses (e.g. ELISA, qPCR, Western Biet, immunohistochemistry} Data collection and analysis Preparing manuscripts and giving presentations Teaching other undergraduate students Who you are Master's degree (or equivalent) in a neuroscience/biology-related field background in behavioural neuroscience extensive laboratory experience experience in working with laboratory animals (preferably with mice); a FELASA B certificate, or an international equivalent animal licence, would be helpful but not required strong English speaking and writing skills; German language abilities are beneficial but not required high motivation level to participate in goal-oriented research approaches strong communication skills excellent team working skills Due to legal regulations, valid proof of measles immunity / measles vaccination is required.
